Cat Bunk Beds - A Great Bed If You Have Two Cats

If you are looking for cat beds for two cats, pet bunk beds are a fun, stylish solution. Most often advertised for dogs, they are spacious and suitable for a kitty, too. Your kitties can rest comfortably and the cute furniture will look adorable in any room of the house. Available in various colors, patterns and styles, you can find the perfect cat bunk bed to suit your taste (and your two felines as well).

We rv full time and have two cats who enjoy sleeping on human furniture. In fact, we are convinced that they consider our rv to be one gigantic cat house. One cat, Toto, is of average size, the other is more like a medium sized dog. His name is Spot and, though he could stand to shed a few pounds, he is an extremely long and tall cat. Even on a diet, finding adequate bedding for Spot is a trick.

For our two cats, we offer a regular cat bed and medium dog bed. They do enjoying laying on the huge dashboard on sunny days, but often they can be found on our comfortable mattress, in our bedroom. RVing with cats presents space limitations, so the soft beds are the best we have to offer. As you will see in some of our personal photos, these two kitties are inseparable and end up in a wide variety of sleeping positions.

A pet bunk bed, if you live in a house that doesn't contain wheels, is a great way to convince your cats that they have their own luxurious beds. A cat is smart, at least we are positive that ours are, and they know the difference between an actual piece of furniture vs. a fuzzy circle on a dashboard. Spot would fit in cat bunk beds, because they are large and spacious - just what he is looking for!

Of Course, Some Cats Are Just Weird

Having Multiple Cats And Beds Can Be Entertaining

Here you will see that Spot got into the smaller cat bed, and Toto is in the larger one. Basically, they reversed beds.

Cats Are Smart - Dog Bunk Beds Are Smarter

For households with multiple cats, if you want to take back your household furnishings, you need to trick your cat into thinking their bed is just additional furniture in the house. Cat bunk beds or funky and cute cat beds designed specifically for cats are usually very small, more of a napping hideaway than a bed. But pet owners report that their cats love dog bunk beds - yes cat lovers, we CAN outsmart the extremely intelligent, domesticated cat. Felines know furniture, so get them a bed they will actually choose over yours!

What Type Of Cat Bed Do You Use?

My cat is almost 17 and she never had a buddy, I really think that is necessary and once she is gone I will get my animals in pairs, it just isn't right to not have a buddy I don't think. Great hub. Voted up.

Thanks so much for your comment - we actually had Spot for years, since he was a kitten, prior to adopting Toto. At first, Spot hated the intrusion, being the king and all...but eventually they became a team and are now inseparable.

Those look so comfy and great! I wish my Lilly would deign consider a bed, but why do so when she can have a corner or a warm human bed?

Those kitties are soooo cute. The black one, Spot, I think, looks like one of our cats, Moonlight. We have bunk beds for our kitties. Cats have it so made.

Craftybegonia and Keith Tax - you are both so right! Cats do have it made and they themselves decide where and when to sleep. They do have those traits in common, don't they?

I'm glad your kitties like bunk beds, Keith!

Thank you both for posting comments - much appreciated!
